Olot - in the Spanish pyrenees

  Olot is right in the centre of the volcano national park.We stayed in the Laperla hotel.

 The hotel was clean, the staff were courteous and the food basic but very good value.There was a lot of building work, both on the roads approaching the town but also in the town itself. Walking into the centre it was easy to see the elegance of some of the older buildings

  However when we wanted to find somewhere to relax and have a cool drink it turned out that the favourite area was actually a concrete plaza between apartment and office blocks

   Would we go back? Yes.There was a nice relaxed feeling to the area but only once all the building work had stopped.
