The
Perfect Heresy is a valuable introduction to the Cathars
and this is recommended as a good read. All the major characters, the
sieges and the background are covered. The final chapter brings the reader
up to date with the romantic slant placed on the Cathar
story in the 19th Century.Below is the review and synopsis from Amazon.co.uk
Well reviewed on Amazon.

The Yellow Cross covers the final years of the Cathar heresy. The characters and geography are very detailed with a closer look at what it meant to be a Cathar than provided by the "Perfect Heresy" above.
The reviews on Amazon swing between very enthusiastic and others which are derogatory. Personally we think the book is well worth it. |
