Mirepoix is just over the border into the Ariege as you travel west from Carcassonne. The centre of the town offers both a covered market and very old houses with the wood carvings still reasonably well preserved. The photographs were taken when the pottery market was open and will, we hope, give some indication of both the range of beautiful wares as well as showing some of the attractions of Mirepoix.
