Abbey St Martin, Canigou Massif, in the Languedoc

The first mention of the abbey was in 997 and 10 years later a benedictine monastry was endowed by Count Wilfred of Cerdagne and his wife. You can see their shallow graves which were laboriously cut out of granite and are now open for inspection.
